Summer Vacation Spots
My sweet, sweet hubby surprised me last night with great 4th of July plans. He's taking us to the Elizabeth Point Lodge on Amelia Island. I am so excited to go back to Amelia Island. It's really a small town with an incredibly laid-back atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxing 4th.
We're also going back to Charleston where we honeymooned last year. For the honeymoon, we stayed at the Wentworth Mansion. So preppy-approved that Reese Witherspoon stayed here on her honeymoon (hope that' not a bad omen).
It was BEAUTIFUL and tres romantic, but a little out of walking distance from King Street and the market, so this year, we're staying at the Charleston Place Hotel. We're planning to return to some restaurants we looooooved last year, including Fulton Five, Fleet Landing, and Circa 1886. I can't wait to get back to Charleston, it's absolutely beautiful and fits my unhurried vacation style perfectly!

Can I Make a Comeback with a MeMe???
What were you doing 10 years ago?
Let's see 1998 - I was about to enter my senior year in college, living with 5 sorority sisters, drinking waaaaaaay to much $1 draft beer, and still thinking about going to Med School. Man, time flies and priorities change!
What are 5 things on your to do list for today?
1. Stay awake after getting oh, about 2.5 hours of sleep last night due to a demanding feline and the snoring of my sinus infected husband. I swear he could wake the dead!
2. Make about a billion phonecalls at work since I was out with my own sinus infection on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
3. Try not to obsess about the $75 it cost to fill up my SUV yesterday and try not to stop at the Toyota dealership on the way home and offer to pay them to take it and then pay them for a Prius.
4. Try not to get too bummed that I have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to go to a Municipal Institute training. How much fun does Taxation 101 sound to you????
5. Go to the grocery store lest we starve.
What snacks do you enjoy?
Sonic cheese stix and a vanilla coke are my all-time favorite, followed closesly by bleu cheese and pears (what can I say, I'm eclectic).
What places have you lived?
Statesboro, GA, Valdosta, GA, St Simons Island, GA - I've pretty much kept it to the 912 Area Code, except for a brief stint (read 1 quarter) at GA Tech (Area Code 404)!
What 5 things would you do if you were a billionaire?
1. Pay off my mom's debt.
2. Pay off my mine and Hubby's debt.
3. Buy and island and live there when it's not hurricane season.
