Clothing Compromises

As you all know, I'm in the midst of planning a wedding. With the wedding comes showers and with showers comes the need for lots of cute new dresses. While I would like to stock my closet exclusively with Lilly, that's just not in the budget right now (although I am planning of wearing a Lilly to my rehearsal dinner).

I was grocery shopping in (gasp) Wal-Mart today and passed a dress too cute to leave in the store. I figure if I only spent $20 on the dress, then I should be able to justify a fabulous Bonanno sandal to go with it! My selections are below. Maybe Mrs. P will style me with some Chic jewlery to complete the look!

I saw this dress when I discovered those cute straw clutches that I posted on my blog! My first thought was to replace the buttons to white or clear, how cute would that be! Then I am really into white and lucite jewelry right now and I think a white beaded necklace would be really cute! I think I need those Bonanno's too after catching a fish just like that recently!

Oh and I wore Lilly to every single shower, bridesmaid luncheon and RHD for my wedding, so of course I think that is a good idea!

Preppy Peach,
I just found your blog. Hooray! I'm planning my preppy wedding now too-for June. I've got pink and green all over the place. :)

I am, unfortunately, a preppy bride on a budget, so I don't own 1 Lilly dress. But, the two times I promised myself I would buy one were for a wedding function and when I'm pregnant (because a pregnant girl deserves to spend whatever she wants to look cute!)

I finally went to buy my Lilly and I don't like any of the patterns out today. But, my lovely preppy mom discovered a plethora of pink and green Lilly animals at Off 5th, the Saks outlet. And I got not one, but 2 Lilly's for my wedding festivities...some cute monkey capris and a strapless peacock dress. I'm so excited.

I spotted that Wally world dress when I was grocery shopping on Saturday. Too cute!
